Throughout two+ decades of blogging, I have gotten into the mindset that my life is being squandered by publishing content for strangers.
Now, those thoughts are compounded due to AI sucking up my site visitors far worse than Google search ever did.
But, I can’t stop. I haven’t posted on https://theopinionblog.com/ since last February (2026). Blogging is pulling me back in.
Introducing my newest solution – a simple microblog that I post to from my phone. As easy as X.
With the help of an all-nighter with ChatGPT, I now have this custom-made website that’s far easier to post to. I’m sitting in my recliner as I write this.
Best of all, no more editing images, worrying about traffic, SEO, tags, keywords, or categories.
Two reasons:
- We eliminated all of that functionality – on purpose.
- I stopped trying to gain website traffic. I don’t care. Come, stay, leave, or ignore my content. I couldn’t care less.
No email lists, promotions, social media supporting content, collaborations, or affiliate/sponsored links.
